How to move from Xerox Freeflow Makeready

You can simply save all your RDO's as PDF's. This will at least save the content and I'm sure you will be able to use the PDF's regardless of the system you move to. You will lose your programing such as pages tagged to be printed front only and paper choices and what not. We have been using...

I just don't like the idea that our shop could be shutdown due to a cloud that gets blown away. What about security. Nothing is safe in the cloud! Hackers can and will disrupt things. The cloud "owners" could favor some over others. Who knows what could happen. Keeping your data and...

    Pressmen as Platemakers?

We moved platemaking from prepress to press years ago when we went to CTP. This works well for us because plates are made just in time as needed. I some cases, we've save the cost of remaking plates due to last minute customer alterations. Dan B

How can I get my pdf to print?

If you choose to take the "print as Image" route, and you only want one copy then send it in batches printing maybe 25 pages at a time. The process takes alot of computer power and can hang if you choose to print too many pages. If you need to make multiple copies of the PDF I would suggest...

Simple question for my simple mind.....

You could use the Adobe Acrobat redaction tool. Before you do, make a backup copy of the original PDF incase you redact too much.
