    What do you pay your pressman?

    I have been in the trade as a pressman for over 30 years and won't press a button for less then $25 ph cash. If you are just getting into offset I would advise you to buget this amount for a good experinance pressman. As the saying goes you get what you pay for! And yes I am Canadian too! RR

    3302 Ink Sweep HELP NEEDED!

    To fix it all we did was punch the pin out and turn the gear 180* and now the sweep works just fine. When I was running before I was at about 8, now it is running at 4 to 5. Paper is now flat as it comes off the press. RR

    The oscillators will be fine with the gear turning 180*. That said I spoke with thee tec today and he will be in to fix it next week. Damn tec's taking vaction at this time of year..... RR

    Um I don't think it is the switches because I can clearly see the ducter on the tranfer roller when the ink roller in turning. RR

    Using of oil based inks on AB Dick 9840

    I run a 9810 with a t51 and a kompac with speedking oil inks. If you have a copper ducter you have a very old system and should consider changing it. Look into the cost of getting a kompac over the crestline and you can run any ink you wish. Good Luck! RR
