    Acrobat SO SLOW...

Just make sure to disable "new Acrobat" once you install it. This will disable the new horrible counter-intuitive UI that Adobe introduced in Acrobat some time ago - and restore Acrobat's normal, human-oriented UI.

    Stopped - 'Filter' failed

Google search on this error brings quite a few entries: https://www.google.com/search?q=%22Stopped+-+%27Filter%27+failed%22&oq=%22Stopped+-+%27Filter%27+failed%22&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOagCALACAA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Split One InDesign Document into Multiple InDesign Files

That's a good tutorial. Kasyan created many great scripts. There's also a commercial product - Output Factory - that can do this (among other things) with many various options. (Disclosure: I'm the developer.) InDesign output automation | Output Factory

    How OLD are your macs?

It's a known issue that many users report. I experience a similar issue too on Mac Studio + Dell 4K monitor. Only in my case only the window that holds document tabs moves downwards. Clicking the green button restores its normal position. Also, I don't use Application Frame - maybe that's why...

    How OLD are your macs?

Yep Mac's print UI and settings are totally embarrassing. On Ventura they improved the appearance slightly (in my view) but also added some bizarre options to print presets, which turned the already nearly useless print presets into some utterly confusing mess.

Mac OS 13 and Adobe Creative Suite / Pantone Connect

I wonder you have have auto-update enabled in Creative Cloud app? Then you can disable it (as you may know anyway).

Mac OS 13 and Adobe Creative Suite / Pantone Connect

Just to make sure: I assume you meant Creative Cloud (CC), NOT Creative Suite (CS). Because non-subscription CS apps (the latest being CS6) won't work on macOS 13.

if you're on Mac, are you updated to macOS 13.5? this fixed some issues to 18.5 users (although the ones that were reported weren't related to PDF export).

Death to my Old Mac a saurus

I also first thought it's a letdown when they discontinued 27" iMac (used them since 2011). But then I quickly realized that replacing iMac with Mac Studio + 4K 27" monitor is a much better setup anyway. I only see advantages and wouldn't want to go back to an all-in-one iMac (if they ever...

PDF's made on Mac different then PC?

InDesign 18.5 should fix this issue (provided this known issue is the culprit for your problems): https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-18-5-enhanced-performance-amp-bug-fixes/td-p/13961049 Depending on where you're located, the update might not be available in the CC...

NEW Adobe Terms of Use eBlast

Is it just me or it's totally bizarre to call it "Success MANAGER"? "Managing" implies that they may at some point also tone your success levels down if, heaven forbid, you achieve too much of it. I could understand "Success Enabler" or "Success Creator" or "Success Accelerator" or whatever...

    M1 Mac with Monterey

If you're using AppleScript in any form (scripts or AppleScript-based apps): To Apple's credit, they made AppleScript much faster on Monterey. It can be blazingly fast: 5-6+ times faster than on earlier systems. On both Intel and M1 Macs.

    Environmentally Conscious

To rephrase my reply more accurately: History has demonstrated that, when it comes to protecting the environment, capitalism is the best economic and social system compared to other known systems. It's not perfect but other systems are much worse.

    Environmentally Conscious

That actually describes socialism perfectly, not capitalism. I'm saying it as someone who grew up in the Soviet Russia. Except that socialism destroys both the planet and the people without even making any profits. Capitalism is the only system that actually genuinely cares about the...

Adobe Photoshop - Workflow Change in Vs. 22.4

In this case, it looks like Adobe blames Apple legitimately. They refer to a change in the Save dialog that was only introduced by Apple in macOS 10.15, as pointed in the PetaPixel's article you mentioned: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appkit/nssavepanel?language=objc In macOS...

Adobe Photoshop - Workflow Change in Vs. 22.4

Interesting... On a slightly unrelated note, I see that lucky Windows users have all the space they want to name their files: Compare this to the tiny field we have to deal on Mac with - and which became even SMALLER on Big Sur: (That's in addition to a few other atrocious UI changes on...

exactly. you yourself just described how complex it is. you need to: -unlock the phone -locate the app (camera or specialized app) -open the app -if it's camera, make sure it's in the right mode (not video/selfie etc.) -carefully aim at QR code -tap to scan it's a labor-intensive cumbersome...
