    Xerox 240 Touch Screen

jricart wrote you a nice tutorial, how to calibrate, but if you cannot do that then the touch screen glass has failed,...which is a common problem on these devices, you can grab one or two on ebay for 40-80 USD. look for touch screen glass for Xerox dc 240/250/dc700/4110/4112 they are all the...

    Machine for 50 000+ A3 impressions monthly

alamos how's the registration on Ricoh c751? thinking of buying this machine I have an xerox dc5000ap and it would suite you're criteria but the quality on Ricoh is in my opinion better than dc5000ap (unless you're a real fan of oily prints) but the registration is flawless

    Ricoh pro c751ex

Yeeeem now i'm the first one to report on an actual C651EX demo. For our local distributer this is something new, so they have a lack of knowledge how even to adjust the paper - for instance, so i was not testing duplex registration. But overall i was very impressed with the machine. Every...

    Ricoh pro c751ex

Hehe, you see that's why I never got a X700 and those jobs who require "glossless" effect are ran on dc250, the other production jobs on dc5000 or dc8000. I'm also searching for a machine to replace my dc250, so i'm looking forward for a practical review of the machine.

    DC 5252 v. DC 2045/2060

2060 vs 5252: hardware wise same crap, 5252 had some minor software changes regarding NVM values, and RIP software should be more stable. And there was an option for an "improved" drum unit whose corotrons can be cleaned on the fly, but never make in on the market sucessfully. 2060, 5252 vs...

    Xerox 5000 AP help..

We're running every month at least 5k prints on 350gsm paper in one single step without any problems. We've never done a larger quantity than that, so i cannot comment on what can go wrong, but for us it works like a charm.

    Opinions on a DC5252

    - print quality: the same as dc12, but it needs lots of maintenance to keep the quality up - registration: is MUCH better than dc250, which in my opinion doesn't have any ;) - reliability: very good if you have a skilled and reliable tech; you can avoid most fuser troubles with using better...

    Docucolor 240 page bends????

    1. This usually happens if you use, low quality paper or offset paper - we'll most offset paper stock is not good choice for reproduction of hq images. 2. you should use correct printing settings (heavyweight1, coated etc), because if you run for example 80gsm paper as heavyweight2 then you...

    DC2060 good choice for production??

don't go with dc26060, the fusing system is too sensitive, at least go with dc6060 (you can clean scorotrons on the fly and improved fuser)

RAM upgrade in internal fiery rip, xerox

    1. You can't upgrade the memory of ANY OS, if the system is embedded - which means that the memory is already "burned" to the motherboard - so in that case if you decide to upgrade the fiery through dealers than they will replace the whole box. If it's not embedded than you can replace it with...

RAM upgrade in internal fiery rip, xerox

There's no OS limitation whatsoever and linux has nothing to do with fiery! The vendors are basically protected by two things: 1. the motherboard (usually it's an server motherboard which is very picky with module configuration) 2. the software limitation of their own software In order to...

    Offset Paper and Digital Machines

I highly advise that you're using digital paper, but sometimes we're just stuck with litho stock in that case I always cut the paper myself the proper way: 1. be sure to use a sharp blade, 2. after you've made the cut wipe the excess dust with a cloth 3. before you put it in printer use jogger...
