    It's me again NCR issue

You may also want to check your pressure between the blanket and impression cylinder. Too much pressure may cause even mostly dry ink to offset.

Digita Machine that can do 16pt?

Look for the program iqueue on the xante site and get the free version. It gives the ability to change all type of settings on the ilumina and I've been told it works for the Oki that is the same. By setting different paper weights or charge voltages you should be able to eliminate the toning...

    Xante Platemaker probs

There are two metal contacts on one side and I believe one on the other side that make contact with the toner cartridge. After time they tend to push in and loose contact. you may have to pull them out a little. This happened at my shop and it fixed the problem.

Platemaker 5 - printing films dark enough for polymer plates

If its not far too late, Make sure you use myriad film with the platemaker only. Generic material will not give the same results. The film settings should be EP1- 1, fuser - 1, Neit -10. Laser setting isn't nessesary for film because the Neit settings take care of that. On printerdialog use the...

    General print question

You don't say what format you sent the file to the printer in. I run a small print shop and when customers want to do their own typesetting I usually tell them to convert it to pdf format or there may be a variance in color. I would suggest you convert your product to pdf and print it yourself...

    Ilumina printing off-center.

Hi. If the Ilumina is the problem then accessing the printer features through the IP address will fix it. I suggest printing to a pdf driver and seeing if the result also is off center. That will determine if it is the program you are using or the printer itself. You may also want to print from...

Best Chemical Free CTP for Small Printing Company

Likewise, small printshop Likewise, small printshop We are also a very small printshop with about 70% offset 30% digital. We have been using a xante platemaker 5 for about 3+ years now with few regrets. The only thing I can say bad about it is the screens tend to break down on longer runs...

    Plate Cylinder Packing

I used to run an Urbanite. A little bigger but basically the same press. We also used .006 mylar. To avoid slipping we would bend the lead edge and place underneath the plate clamps. Of course if you do this you may have to redo all your registration settings.

    Xante Platemaker 5

I had that problem and switched to xante compatable plates from photo warehouse. Much much better now. I used to lower my ep1 down to around 8 to compensate for the chipping but had slight toning issues then.

    Xante Platemaker Plate issues

I get ultafine xante compatable plates from photo warehouse and they work much better for me than the myriad. I tend to get broken or chipped type on the myriad. Also you may want to check your ep1 setting. It should be around 16 and if too low will cause toning issues.
