    KM1 Learning Curve

We have the KM1 for about 9 months now. It's been very very good to us but we have always been digital printers moving from Igens. Our training was pretty decent and support has been ok. They take about a day to show up so when we are down we are down for a couple of days but that doesn't happen...

Moving Down - Igen to ???

Probably don't want to wait that long. I got a sort of strange email from them today saying they were going to quit giving me proposals until they got our current iGen running properly. Lately we have been having problems keeping her running, the last 2 months in fact, so every time they have...

Moving Down - Igen to ???

The Konicas interested me because they have a great service model, in our area anyway. They run a tight ship but I don't like to hear about constant color calibrating, that said our old Indigo required about 8 man hours per week for standard maintenance and constantly doing calibrations, quality...

Moving Down - Igen to ???

Our lease was up on our Indigo 5500 some time ago and have opted to add a lower cost press to take some of the load off our iGen4. Some of our customers are very picky, so I would plan on diverting the less picky customers to one of the following machines. Konica Ricoh Xerox smaller machines...

Slitter Cutter Creaser - Anyone have experience with the Zip Line (Thermotype)

I am looking into getting a Slitter Cutter Creaser - I an looking at the Duplo DC 745 and the Zip-TS2L by Thermo Type. Does anyone have any experience with these machines. We have Duplo equipment, never heard of the other one. Thanks for your comments

Nanographic Printing Technology from Benny Landa

Im a skeptic, maybe its the bitter taste of Indigo still on my tongue and I am talking 5500 not the early models. That plus they don't think having pricing information 1.5 years before the release of the product is relevant ... that quoted from an email sent to me. I make plans and decisions...

    What printer should I buy: iGen4 / Nexpress S2500 / Indigo 3500

Ditto on that. We are spending an average of seven hours per week on maintenance and down time and we only run one shift. To add insult to ijury HP supplies such as blankets and impression paper have gone down hill. We throw blaniets all the time where we never threw one before so now that means...

    What printer should I buy: iGen4 / Nexpress S2500 / Indigo 3500

Our Indigo 5500 puts out some pretty nice prints when its not down or uindergoing maintenance. Our IGEN 4 also produces excellent prints (not as good photographic) and runs, runs, runs, this is a life saveing machine. The Indigo service model is the worst in existence. Unless you plan on...

    Canon c6000VP

I vote Canon, very bad experience with Ricoh as a company and whatever you do stay away from Milner. Neither of them are allowed in our shop again. If you go for the bigger machines, stay away from HP Indigo. They have the nicest printes but if you get busy your going to be spending exhorbadant...

    Igen 110 vs Nexpress 2500

Im really hoping they get it sorted, its nice to print up to 120 ppm (3 up on 26" paper), really cuts into our pile of workorders when its running. Turns out it wasn't the paper ... after I bitched out our Mac sales rep for the wavy paper, it was a badly misaligned guide ... grrrr...

    Igen 110 vs Nexpress 2500

We just got some new paper in, I think it is from New Page, though I have my doubts the paper is the problem. Whoever put this machine together was drinking eggnog. Its running today, but Im not getting my hopes up for tomorrow. Thanks, Jorge

    Igen 110 vs Nexpress 2500

Starting to regret going with Xerox iGen4. Besides last minutes modifications to the agreement we can't keep the machine up and running. I keep hearing how these machines are good for millions of impressions per month and so far we are lucky to get 70K. Yesterday we printed 2600 sheets almost...

    Share Paper Order 26 x 14.33

Looks like there is a delay in ordering from New Page Feb 03 before you can sheet to size. Can you call Daniel at Mac 954-663-7893 . He tried to reach you and left a message on your voice mail.

    Igen 110 vs Nexpress 2500

    Share Paper Order 26 x 14.33

We just got our IGen4 up and running and it sure feels good to see 120 legal size pages per minute coming out of the machine... 3 up on 26 x 14.33 press sheets. However, cutting down paper is not efficient. I talked with our supplier at Mac Papers and he tells me if I order 10 skids I can get...

Opinions on off-line booklet makers for digital

We have the Duplo with the collating towers, they work fine. We were printing collated but pulling different color papers from different drawers slow'd our digimaster way down. The towers come in real handy! Very little maintenance required, we do it ourselves, when things break, the tech fixes...

    Igen 110 vs Nexpress 2500

Thanks for your real world considerations, glad to hear maintenance is not that big a deal. We have a substantial black only volume as well which leans me toward the xerox machine but I' l leave it to the owners to make the call. If we go with Xerox I'l be sure to set up a special lunchroom...
