    Preps 5.3.3 Marks

We haven't. Mainly because we have such a huge library of templates we continually use and we're also all running macs. We'd have to change our entire process.

    Preps 5.3.3 Marks

I did copy and paste the config file from the mac. It didn't appear the same on the pc. If it makes a difference, I'm not referring to the printed crop mark but the previewed crop mark in the template.

    Preps 5.3.3 Marks

Running and older version of preps because quite frankly, it does everything we need it to. Building templates only for our Apogee workflow. Now the question... we have it installed on both a mac and PC and have just started using the PC version more and noticed the crop marks are the same...

Acrobat X Output Preview not accurate

Stephen, Why when I open the file is Acrobat 8 does the simulation profile default to Gracol which we want but in X it is Adobe RGB which doesn't help me turn off a black separation to view possible issues? Is it the checkbox in 8 that isn't present in X about output intent overriding working...

Acrobat X Output Preview not accurate

Thanks Stephen, Let me look into this as trashing preferences didn't help.

Acrobat X Output Preview not accurate

Great! Now why the difference on our machines? There must be a setting somewhere affecting the reading?

Acrobat X Output Preview not accurate

Object Inspector shows ICC Based CMYK. Why is it previewing fine in Acrobat 8 and not Acrobat X? I'll attach the file. I should add that when the pdf is created out of indesign as a single page file, it is fine. We drop it in a hot folder to impose the file for digital and the imposed file...

Acrobat X Output Preview not accurate

Here are screenshots of the file in question. The border is a grayscale tif and the text is set in indesign and is 100% black. You can see the difference between Acrobat 8 and Acrobat X when I turn off the black separation.

Acrobat X Output Preview not accurate

Not sure this helps in our case either... The objects we're trying to read are confirmed to be 100% K yet the inspector displays a rich black.

Acrobat X Output Preview not accurate

I know exactly what you're talking about but unfortunately that's not the case here. Multiple machines, fresh program launches, inaccurate results.

Acrobat X Output Preview not accurate

So I recently found with multiple files over the course of the last few weeks Output Preview on multiple machines is not accurate. Pitstop inspector will identify type or a black bar for example as 100% K. Opening in Illustrator yields the same result. We like using output preview to quickly...

    Missing colours in CS6

Oh hey! Look at that. Well that makes perfect sense. Maybe a bug fix is in the works? I mean, out of order is one thing but is the search function can't find it??? Thanks for the heads up.

    Missing colours in CS6

So we've come across a new one... now that CS6 uses Pantone+ rather than Pantone, we've noticed a few colors missing from the library entirely. We went to create a file using Pantone 540C and found it to be missing. Any idea if this is a glitch or how it can be explained? Our understanding was...

    Agfa Sherpa 43i

Agfajet Sherpa 43i Plotter is in excellent condition. Machine is in working order but sees very little use. Quality is good when running consistently but we don't use it often enough which is the reason for selling. Plotter has a full set of ink loaded as well as a few extra cartridges...

    Apogee Prepress & dielines

New to Apogee... wondering if there is a way to set up defaults so that we can turn off application trapping in prepress letting the workflow handle all of the trapping, yet have a dieline overprint? Can specific colors be added somewhere so that it will recognize "dieline" for example and...
