When we were still using violet plates w/a Palladio plate setter I switched over to Mitsubishi plates and they worked well and were half the cost.

We use Azura TS Plates in our shop with no problems at all. Like Dan C stated the gumming unit can be a bear to clean, but it does clean up nice.... just needs all the rollers removed to do a good job when cleaning. Hopkins Printing ~ Gum in the gumming unit cleans the non-image area. -Dan

we run the metallic first. I have not seen an issue come up with ether heavy or light coverage and how the metallic ink traps. I have never had to change my trap settings for a spot color of metallic or any PMS color.

I use to have a problem similar to yours and I fixed it just about the same way destryer stated, except I would just delete the rips in the pritdrive device list, than restart the printdrive TP in the system overview in Apogee this would rebuild the rips and thus the connection. But like...

Sorry I misunderstood you, I thought you were connecting to the server like in this first screen shot I'm att: this will not mount SMB you have to browse to it. Also when you create your user from new make sure you lock the user password and lock password never expires options is a good idea. -Dan

Hello Stephen, These screen shots prob won't help, but I will upload them anyway. We have a mac server and a nas server SMB mounting by browsing to the connection is how I connect, than I make alias of each volume and place in a folder to use when I start my mac. -Dan
