PrintDrive error

Ok. So I am pretty new with the Apogee System I will try to explain the problem the best I can.
When sending a job to the PrintDrive Task Process sometimes it errors. It may process one or two or even three colors but out of now where it will stop and give an unknown error. There is also an error message on our server machine saying there was a network connection issue and the file..something, something cyan.tif could not be saved. so on and so fourth. I was on the phone with Agfa for about an hour and he said it sounds like a connection issue. The wires are no less than a few years old. If anyone else has had this issue please shed some light.

Have you tried restarting the device in PrintDrive's device list? It's simple and stupid I know but it works. The other way to fix it and I stress this is an advanced method: The output device might be corrupt. Very rare, but it can happen. I don't know how new your system is but it could be that. You have to shutdown Apogee and then delete your PrintDrive rip connections devices in PrintDrive's device list, then restart Apogee again and it will recreate the devices on PD. I STRESS this is a very last resort. If you do something wrong and mess up your system you will have to get Agfa to fix it so if you are not sure what you are doing DON'T DO IT.You have been warned not to do as I suggested.
You have to check your network first make sure you don't have a bad plug/socket before you try what I suggested. You should try measuring throughput to your output devices it might be the issue which I suppose is the problem.
Hope this helps.

I use to have a problem similar to yours and I fixed it just about the same way destryer stated, except I would just delete the rips in the pritdrive device list, than restart the printdrive TP in the system overview in Apogee this would rebuild the rips and thus the connection.

But like destryer stated use caution. I can't believe the tech at Agfa did not sugg this to you it's where I learned it and I have been an Apogee user since series3.
