Hey guys Our supplier here has told us that we have to buy a whole perf unit to replace the blunt perf wheel we currently have, (cant just buy the wheel) Any one heard of this before?

Try using a black spray paint? Clamp the book so not to over spray into it and just spray the edge? Could be a manual way around?

Haha the specs I use are 21 up sra3 so it's 12 sheets mm bleed and gutters 5mm also

Hey all had a bit of a challenge to "raise workplace moods" For short runs of 250 business cards, who can beat the time i posted, (fastest here) of 1:31 from first cut to a full stack ready for a box?

I use a 551lt it's no polar but it works. Castcoated will always get you in trouble... We cut sheets in half and use that... It never works well not being digital... Have a merry Xmas

No we get at Mac a variance of .5 mm unless there is a fault in the machine which majority of the time it's very minor... We can also adjust skew perpendicularity side edge and lead edge rego to 0.1mm increments... I find it to get better if I manually duplex

i would normally do 2-3, Spending a little extra time cutting and getting them perfect. How many internals on what sort of stock would you be looking at. If the books are flatter then it would be quite possible to trim more

This seems to be a hard way of doing things rikkie, if everything was trimmed to a4 with a score, we are talking a really short run here of 100 for this i think it would be easier to trim to A4 first score the a4 books, then stitch flat along the scores, fold and trim creep. i have the luxury...

For bcards, to make it quicker and still use the clamp to stop killing as many cards, you can use a flat blade and just pop the right side slightly, then set it at 55mm then press clamp down to push plate back in... (on;ly for 55, no smaller) This will vary slightly for other places but i run...

Easiest way would be to trim to say A4 score at A5 then stitch, then fold over and trim the creep off
