    Versant 2100 Image Quality

We went from a KM C8000 to 2 Xerox 2100's - we did notice that the fine detail in images was not quite as good as the KM. It was only if you look really close on a sharp hi-res image, but definitely not quite as detailed as our KM.

Long run Mono printing on 350gsm Silk

I need to regularly print long runs of variable barcodes on 350gsm Silk. Run lengths of 100k+ every month. Needs to be high quality and dry so Inkjet out of the equation. My only current option seems to be a KM mono machine. Any other ideas for my budget of £25k/$30k???

Thanks guys. What regions is the 660mm sheet option offered to?

    Questions for Versant 2100 owners

Obviously we'll be doing some demos, but how is the colour consistency from sheet to sheet, and from day to day? We run a KM C8000 which does drop off a bit in density on a longer run, but I'm hoping the 2100 doesn't experience this? Also, how do people find the front to back registration...

    Toner-based Digital Print v Litho

Carrying on from another thread, is the future of digital print solely to get as litho-like finish as possible? I'm thinking in particular about printing on uncoated paper - should the manufacturers be aiming for a flat, matte-like finish? Or would customers who are used to seeing the...

    Most Litho-like digital print?

Without spending a fortune (<$150,000) which digital press produces the most matte print? I refer to printing onto uncoated paper especially. Xerox are making a big thing of their 'low-matte toner' on the Versant 2100. How does this compare to say a KM C8000?

Konica C8000 review and Please HELP!!!!

I'd also go with a new machine - assuming you don't get another lemon you'll grow to appreciate what a good piece of kit it is. Sounds like you've been very unlucky. Keep us informed!

Konica C8000 review and Please HELP!!!!

Great to see that you are now sorted. We're up to 400k on our C8000 and it's been a revelation really - runs so much sweeter than our 6500 and just swallows up whatever we throw at it. We've had the odd page with poor back-up - but we've learnt that putting the paper guides in the correct...

Konica C8000 review and Please HELP!!!!

Hi csudman, We've had our C8000 since early October, and it's been running very well. I've only noticed 1 job where the image on the back of the sheet has shifted - I'm hoping this is a one off but after reading your post I'll be checking everything very carefully. We have a tiny bit of skew...

    KM C8000 installed tomorrow

We are having a KM C8000 installation tomorrow, which joins our current C6500. Anything to suggest we ask for regards training? We are pretty experienced with the Fiery front end, but I understand this will be a newer version running this press. What the about the engine? Anyone wished...

    Complaint about letterheads

Always thought that it was low fusing temps that caused the problem - ie when the client puts in through their own laser (with a higher fusing temp) it 'de-fuses' the original image. I could be wrong

    Upgrade time - need input

We've spent 6 months looking at solutions for the same problem. Looked at Ricoh 901 v Canon 7010 v Xerox 8002/8080 v KM C8000. Plumped for the KM in the end, it had the edge on the Ricoh and Xerox and was far cheaper than the Canon. All of the above are 'good enough' machines and local...

konica minolta 6501 vs 6000 vs xerox 700

We've just been through the same procedure - we are hitting 100k per month, so we've plumped for a KM C8000 - possibly more than you were looking to spend but there are some very good deals around at the moment.

Reconditioned Nexpress or Xerox Color 800

I'd have another look at the KM C8000 - we've looked at Canon 7010VP, Xerox 800, Ricoh 801, and the KM is as good as if not better than all of these. No problems duplexing 350gsm either ;-) Don't let a poor Dem put you off!
