    Xerox D95, 110, 125

They are a great light production black and white printer. You really don't need a powerful DFE on a mono device unless you are RIP'ing large PDF files or doing tab or VDP printing (not including simple mail merge jobs). Good luck!

    Fuji Xerox Versant 80 Press

You need the 2 tray in order for Xerox to stand behind 350gsm. Otherwise, the 1 tray version will only handle 300gsm. Either way, you can only duplex up to 300gsm.

    Fuji Xerox Versant 80 Press

That's a darn good price....for the equivalent of what used to known as the J75. You got the 2 tray "OVERSIZED" high cap feeder? I recall reading there are some stock limitations with the 1 tray. I think you get 350 gsm capabilities on the 2 tray versus 300gsm with the 1 tray.

    Fuji Xerox Versant 80 Press

It really depends on how it's configured...feeding, finishing, controller, productivity pack? What price were you quoted?

    Xerox J75 power consumption.

You will want to update those circuits. If you lease, Xerox may require you to have those in place before they are installed.

Wrinkled Envelopes in Ricoh C751 Pro

Don't ever expect to run any kind of envelope consistently well on digital presses. You will get wrinkling and fusing issues. I would recommend exploring a digital envelope press such as Xante or Oki. Any press regardless of the manufacturer won't do very well.

    J75 to Versant 2100?

yeah...There is probaby some of recycled hardware, but every manufacturer does that. The new versant fuser technology is cool and the software enhancements for print quality will be a nice addition to the C75 and J75 legacy too.

    J75 to Versant 2100?

Unless you are running 6 figures in volume, you may want to wait for the Versant 80. Xerox is retiring the C75 and J75 in the next few months in favor of this next generation. It will be rated at 350gsm (still 300gsm auto duplex).

    Fuji Xerox Versant 80 Press

The versant 80 will have an optional "performance package" option that will upgrade the device to a like-J75 configuration. It will include the 350gsm at rated speed and the inline spectrophotometer. Without that package, it will output similar to the C75 and will slow down on heavier stocks...

    Questions about Xerox C75/J75

Ok...the Versant would definitely solve your weight limitation since it supports 350gsm. It's a wonderful machine and you will certainly see an improvement in resolution not only in the engine but with the RIP processing too. Another big kicker with this machine is the smoother gradients...

    Questions about Xerox C75/J75

The J75 is spec'd to autoduplex SRA3 sized paper coated or uncoated up to 300gsm through the bypass or OHCF. You will see a slow down with duplexing but you won't have to haul the job back to the feeder after one side is printed.

    Questions about Xerox C75/J75

What kind of DFE do you have? There are some known issues with Xerox's Freeflow that they are working through, so don't ignore the controller. Good luck! Also, are you getting any grief from Xerox about printing on weights bigger than 300gsm? They might not support you on anything larger than...

    Questions about Xerox C75/J75

sds sds Duty cycle is just the industry trying to slap an apples to apples comparison between manufacturers and machines. It means roughly the amount of clicks between recommended service visits if all goes well. I don't put any stock in published duty cycle numbers. At that 180k volume, I...

    Questions about Xerox C75/J75

Don't pay attention to duty cycle. For that volume, I would be hesitant to buy 3rd party. Xerox will require an inspection of some kind and might not guarantee service after you made the 3rd party purchase. If that happens, can you return the machine if Xerox won't service? That is quite a...
