Per the tech bulletin, it doesn’t work on 9200, only on 7200

We have been using the cheap Lindenmeyr and PrintMasters on our Martin Yale 1170.... (same machine basically) No issues at all.

Unfortunately that is no longer the case. They had problem getting it to go that high, so the marketing material has been pulled from Canon's site. The new brochure says "24pt" (which is 445gsm) New Brochure

And priced so high I can buy two Ricoh 9210s unfortunately

That seems incorrect. shoot me a DM, and we can discuss what price and clicks should be, but I'd say the Ricoh should be less..

I was recently told nothing until at least Printing United this year. I just took delivery of the 9210 a few weeks back and love it.

Postmark and the iJet are basically the same. Same ink, same print head from HP. Minor differences... I've looked at both and currently having to make a decision. I think ultimately the question is, who do you think you will get better support from? Martin Yale is a bigger name in print finishing.

From my experience, 3 layer paper board is always multiple sheets sandwiched together. (Look at Convertible Solutions) In terms of thick board, I think people are buying 24pt Westrock Tango and cutting it down.... but from an uncoated side, I don't know what exists.

I'm a huge fan of my DPC-600. It's fairly fast, and I'll do stuff up into the thousands. Obviously if I was doing over 10,000 of anything, I'd have to outsource it, but for shorter runs, its amazing and allows the customer to be more flexible with what shape they want.

I've spoken with MGX about this issue several times. They told me all of there .004 vinyl delaminates from the liner in most Ricoh engines. not the case with the .006. The 3.25mil is a .004 vinyl.

It’s very similar to the Duplo DFL500. Same manufacture (UCOS), they just modified it for Konica. I think the Duplo model is a bit better…but that’s from just reading the manuals (a few extra updates in the Duplo one). But overall they are the same. We have the Duplo in my shop, and we love it...
