    ok found it, its separate, do you know if i can swap a cyan developer for a black? I have a spare cyan but no black, even if just to test to make sure its that?

    Edit - I have the C8000w and replaced a new drum from there into the K in the DT, doesn't seem to be the drum as the issue still persists.... Im stumped!

    edit - just performed a test on CMYK separately and its the K channel specifically

    Hi, any ideas on the part or the issue with my prints? I've cleaned the drums, cleaned all the print lens, reset the waste cartridge and also cleaned the IBT. Still persists, any help would be appreciated, this has just started and I'm mid project!

    I understand the reason behind it. How were you foiling first btw? regardless when you foiled prior to knowing the greyscale option, wouldn't it still be present ??

    I understand there logic in wanting it but really detest as to why they would do it on a W toner machine! its essentially made to over print existing media already laid down. They could have at least put the security code somewhere else rather then plaster it across the whole print out. I read...

    From what ive read, the tracking dots are encoded into the firmware, when CMYK is printed the dots will print regardless.

    Print CMYK to a board - Lam in soft touch or anti scratch - Run through the printer again for the areas i want to gloss - lamination machine for the clear gloss laminate

    If you are only foiling make sure you use 100% K this will not happen then.

    Doesn't happen with 100% W or K just CM or Y for me! kind of makes the point in a white toner printer redundant it really does!.

    tbh im fine with foiling in most instances as i use full 100% k which doesnt introduce them, the issue starts when im trying to clear gloss lam by overprinting in colour. ill send a pic!
