I try to do this every year, but, sometimes I forget.

In the spirit of coming up with whacko names for entries, here are my three fictitious horse names for this year's race:

Tariff Sheriff
Artificially Intelligent
Shedeur Du Jour

What are yours?

Wouldn't it be cool to have two horses. One named "Tariff On", and, the other named "Tariff Off". And they ran neck and neck to the finish.

Announcer: "And.....they're off.......It's Tariff On, on the inside. It's Tariff Off driving hard down the back stretch. Rounding the final turn it's Tariff Off, On the final stretch it's Tariff On, no, it's Tariff Off, now, it's Tariff On, neck and neck coming to the wire. It's Tariff On, It's Tariff Off, it's Tariff On, it's Tariff Off................It's a photo finish.....everyone hold your tickets........"

Years ago my dad use to run a fund raiser for our church. You can rent films of horse races sealed (old film projector days). All he knew were the number of horses running in the race. The race was sponsored as a fund raiser. They got to name the horse and jockeys and we printed up programs and booklet/betting sheets. At the event there were betting windows and everything. I was the jockey on many a horse that way. Our sponsored race was always printing related themed.

I've attended a bunch of these events too. They're called "A Night at the Races", at least around here. Great fun!
