9560 Jams

I just took delivery of a C9650dn and am having some difficulties finding the right paper configurations to prevent jams. I am running a job that is on 80# coated text (119gsm) that is double sided. Per the recomendations of the tech who delivered and set up the printer I am running "Medium Heavy" for the weight and "Plain" for the paper type. The printer runs 5-10 copies and then jams at the fuser. About 2 inches of the leading edge is accordian mashed. I'm thinking that the fuser is running the temp too high and the paper is curling as it comes through the fuser.

Anyone running similar stock that can give me some pointers? I have a couple of decent sized jobs to run tonight and this weekend and I am away tomorrow so the soonest I could get the tech back is on Monday...

Thanks in advance.

Mike,

Your settings seem fine, but I would try feeding from the by-pass tray (straight paper path) and not duplexing - 2 passes through.

Not as efficient, but may be the the only way.

That is what I ended up doing to get the job done. I'm not going to pay for a DN though if it will not duplex. I got it to run fine duplexing letter sized but tabloid (both 80# coated and 20# plain) jammed the same way.

The tech is going to be here on Monday so we will see what he says.

I will say that it tore through 2000 6x9 envelopes without a hitch. I can see why people choose this printer to do envelopes!!
