Hi

When i am setting the pontesiometer at the feeder board, which controls the air for the venturi effect for the frontlays, to it's lowest position, there is still air coming out of the venturi holes. Is this normal ?
Furthermore if i remove the transfer cylinder jackets in order to check the condition of the transfer cylinders, can i use them again or i have to install new ones ?

Thaks in advance.

The Venturi air comes from an Ametek blower. You should be able to shut it off completely. The potentiometer switch may be defective or out of alignment (stripped). The transfer jackets can be removed at any time and put back on. They are designed to be removed, and that is how you can change the packing underneath if needed. To change the underlay packing just unlock the tail edge and inch the press backwards. Where you might find a problem when removing the jacket is that that have become stuck at the gripper edge due to build up of solvents, spray powder etc. Try spraying it with a lubricant like Gleit spray to make removal easier.

Thanks Ret,

I will check the potentiometer and then the PCB board that supplies the Dc voltage required to control the Ametek blower.
