High all, first post, hope in the right section.

While i was checking some pdf file yesterday, the output preview tool ''changed'' it's simulation profile(Euroscale coated v2 ) into some monitor(RGB) profile.
First i thought i've accidently change that with the mouse wheel or something,so i put the Euroscale back on,but when i opened another file the simulation profile changed again back to monitor's!

It had even changed on the color management preferences,-still trying to figure out how-!!!

Anyway,i replaced the monitor profile with the Euroscale on the preferences, restarted Acrobat and ever since, when i turn of and on a channel preview a couple of times Acrobat quits!!!

I 'm running Acrobat 7.0.9 on an XP machine,if anyone had similar problems or has the faintest idea how's that happened i'll be glad to hearing of it!

Thanx in advance!:)

Well, Acrobat 7 is pretty old at this point and certainly had some bugs...

How about upgrading to Acrobat 9?

Is'nt supported yet by Heidelberg,i've read somewhere around here...
Anyway,i'm not takin the decisions on the software we are using!

Thanx again!

Did you put euroscale as RGB profile? Euroscale is a CMYK profile.
If you open a PDFx Acrobat will default on the output intent.

Problem solved.

The problem was that the monitor profile had replaced not only the CMYK but the grayscale as well but i didn't notice it,till now.

@Lukas
Of course it is.
My problem was that out of the blue the working spaces profiles of CMYK-and grayscale- changed into the monitors profile, maybe i wasn't clear enough on my description.

Still i can't understand how this happened,i mean it's easy to accidentally change the simulation profile while the output preview window is open, but how the settings of the color management profiles can be changed without opening the preferences menu?
