" Is it the shop I am working in or has Acrobat had a rendering problem and it seems to be getting worse. all the PCs and MACs using either DC or reader does not always render the page you have to zoom in or out maybe even a couple of times before it will render the page correctly. Am I going crazy? "
no, sir … you are not alone … happens on some of the *.pdf files customers send us as well. in fact … also happens, to a lesser extent, with *.indd files also.
spend some time over at
adobe's forum … research some archived posts … their dev-team come onto the forums … to find out what will
'entice' customers with new features. however, when the forum regulars ask what the status is, with regard to certain outstanding current issues
(first surfacing 5+ years prior), we are ignored. why? simple … new features bring in new customers … and, more importantly, will eliminate competition. s'called
'monopoly' in my world.
why does adobe continuously revise the interface so often … rearranging controls … tweaking and then removing other tweaks? to keep customers buying the
'latest and greatest' versions. hence … subscription services were born.
adobe has always been this way … back, when
pagemaker was all the rave … and adobe was bringing out indesign … adobe was bowing down to the
pagemaker clientele … asking how to make
indesign more attractive to the publishing industry. talking about monopolization … she knows exactly what she's doing.
as to posting
'samples' … it's against company policy to divulge content … could jeopardize our contracts as well as clientele's loyalty.
