Adobe moving away from the US

Although I am no longer an Adobe employee, your conclusion that “apparently India is where Adobe is to make its base” is not borne out by the actual contents of the article you quote. You imply that the company is moving its headquarters to India (similar to what Quark did many years ago). The article says nothing about moving “its base” to India.

In fact, the full article actually said:

Adobe Chairman and CEO Shantanu Narayen on Saturday said the software major's aspirations for India are not just related to products but to run global businesses from the country.

He also said the company's employees in India are responsible for major part of every aspect of Adobe's business.

"Our aspirations for India are not just related to products, they are related to running global businesses out of India. We are running complete businesses out of India.

"We are disproportionately invested in India, and that trend will continue," Narayen said at the virtual Economic Times Global Business Summit.

He said a lot of pioneering engineering work is being done in India, and Adobe will continue to expand its footprint and presence in the country.

"I am long on India, so I would definitely bet on India," Narayen said.

In fact, this is no different than what Adobe has been doing for over 15 years now! A number of Adobe products have engineering, product management, and marketing based in India, but the company is headquartered in and managed overall from San Jose, California.

Potato, potah-to.
Don't care where they are.
Do care what they DO, as I am NOT a fan of the current product 'strategies,' but I am also NOT a stockholder.
Sigh.

Your rebuttal reminds me of the politicians that rent a cheap small apartment in the district they want to get elected in but actually live somewhere else. I don't really care where Adobe is based but at least call it what it is...they will be "based" out of India.

I hope their adventure in India will turn out better than Quark's. From another angle: this is a clear sign of how important the graphic industry is in the revenue basket of the shareholders.

Adobe's customer support has been abysmal the last few years. Indians simply do not care about Westerners and enjoy talking down to them. Adobe seems to have no mechanism for punishing or changing behavior. I plan to post something soon to see what others are experiencing because something isn't adding up on my end.
