AI Pantone and RGB images in QuarkXpress 11 - how to create PDF with max color gamut

AI eps with Pantone Book color, plus sRGB images imported into QuarkXpress v11. Anyone can share the best practice to create PDF that can maintain max color gamut?

Focues are :
1). Pantone saved as AI CC EPS, should it be spot-bookcolor or spot RGB?
2). QXP v11 (any preference or option to be setup?), better export as PDF-X4, or as EPS and distill as RGB 2005?

Sorry, don't have Quark but in order to use the output device's widest color capabilities, you need to keep all Pantone colors and RGB images as-is. Meaning:
- Keep Pantone colors as spot channels. Their alternate color space (RGB, CIELab etc.) doesn't matter as long as they have proper names and the RIP can find them in its spot color catalog.
- Keep RGB images tagged with the sRGB profile, or define sRGB as the default profile in the RIP.

Look for "no color conversion" options in your PDF exporting options.

Don't export as EPS and distill - too many intermediate steps and room for error.
