The 13 months leading up to EZ Mailing’s trip to Standard Finishing’s demonstration center in Andover, MA in March to evaluate Horizon finishing equipment, have been busy. This included: moving into a newly renovated building, adding 2 new Horizon machines and on-boarding a new RMGT 920 Series Offset Press with LED-UV curing.
But, while many non-essential businesses were still closed, on May 1, 2020, EZ Mailing moved ahead with the purchase of the Horizon AFC-566FG Fully Automated Paper Folder—they were already selling jobs that needed a faster folder to produce. On May 11th, the new Horizon folder arrived and Graphco was there on the 12th to install and train. Their first job took 3 minutes to set up, and ran at 25,000 sph.
The new folder streamlines throughput & handles short & long runs, and sets up via a 10” color touchscreen. EZ Mailing also added a Horizon RD-4055 Rotary Die-Cutter to produce door-hangers, special shape direct mail pieces and round-corner business cards.
