Another press manufacturer stops production of litho presses

Timsons is now planning to be totally digital. Giving up on litho.

Timsons to stop manufacturing litho presses and focus on digital | PrintWeek

Timsons is now going out of business in the UK. It is reported that after they decided to drop offset press manufacturing and only sell digital presses, they were not able to sell anymore digital presses and decided to go out of business.

From what I have heard recently, there still has been strong interest in Timsons offset presses from their existing customer base.

Frankly, this is just another example in a long list of press manufacturers who had no interest in trying different things years ago, when there would have been time to safely develop the future technologies required, that possibly could have saved them now. Companies fail due to poor decisions.
