Apogee X 4.0 New Printer

I want to place a new printer-Xerox 252 at the end of our workflow. At the moment we have a sherpa. To my knowledge it receives the rendered (rasterised) pdf and so proofs exactly what comes out on the plates (press). I want the Xerox 252 to do the same. I can get the Xerox to print an exported pdf from Apogee, but this will not be exactly the same as a rendered version. (Have found that there can be differences-type will drop off etc-overprints).
Any help as to how best tackle this problem would be much appreciated.

If you insert "Digital Film Proof" TP before "Pdf Proofer" TP in your Job Ticket, you proofs exactly what comes out on the plates.
