APPE and Artworks

One of our sister companies is using Artworks. Four of the others are not. We are looking at an APPE solution for the four.
As an ignorant person when it comes to Esko, can somebody tell me if APPE is A) already there or B) on the way at say Drupa?

If by APPE you are referring to Adobe PDF print Engine, Esko Artworks in Odystar and Nexus does not use APPE as their core rip kernel. They chose to write their own instead which makes them unique as they can mold their software around PDF and not have to mold it to it. As a fairly long Nexus user, I can say they handle PDF and transparency and fat PS as good or better than anybody.
