Here is the conundrum. I just love archiving with Prinergy via RBA. It gives me everything I want. The original application files, the ripped and trapped data and a dandy historical view of the life cycle (or many life cycles ) of a job.
Problem is that when you are archiving with Prinergy to save all this data you require the use of a part of the Windows OS called RSM. RSM is the devils work. It is highly unreliable (just ask the folks at Kodak) and makes all the afore mentioned loveliness turn to muck before your very eyes.
If you are a Prinergy user how do you archive?
Do you dare venture outside the Prinergy scenario and into third party solutions? Does that mean you must forgoe all the valuable data that Oracle provides?
I am interested in how others are dealing with the evil RSM issue and what archiving practices are being used.
Thanks in advance.
