Back up proofs

Any opinions on back up proofing devices? ImpoProof 8400, Sherpajet 2, others?

I would highly recommend the ImpoProof. We have had ours in place for a while and it works very well and fast. Having two printers to do 2 sided proofing makes a difference.

Also around is the Preproofer which uses 2x Epson printers, if you have an HP5500 then the VersoJet is also good

I was talking to an installer, who installs the ImpoProof and the PreProofer. I asked his opinion for a comparison on the 2 machines. He said the PreProofer is good but the ImpoProofer is more stable and faster.

I have Kodak's Matchprint Epson 9880.. Does a pretty decent job on backing up for us.
Worth looking into. No-brainer if you're a Prinergy shop.

Would anyone think that if you could check back-up in Acrobat (via a Plug-in ?) We have a tool that is used in the book production (you can 'pile' all pages to see if everything is alinged - or - you can view just two pages) - contact [email protected] - we are trying to decide if we should make this a stand alone plug-in

I have installed a couple of versajets and they are running 24/7 without problems on light paper- quite impressive, but for hp5500
