Backup Custom Substrates on Fiery?

Our company uses a Canon imagePRESS V1350 and multiple Ricohs (9500/9210). All use a Fiery terminal. We mostly use custom paper settings and have to manually put the substrates in again when the Canon/Ricoh techs reset the system. Is there a way to backup the custom media library to easily import after a reset? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Server > Paper Catalogue > Export in CWS.
The problem with backing up from CWS is that while you'll get the xml paper definitions you won't get the advanced paper settings. This is because if your custom entries were created on the machine itself as they should be then the advanced settings that came with them or that you made to them won't be exported. Depending on the Ricoh printer model you can export your custom catalog to an SD card so consult your documentation or better yet get ahold of your Ricoh solutions engineer (the Ricoh person who trained you) and they should be able to walk you through it.

This is why I love this page! I have never heard this and always thought my backup was all I needed. I got my Ricoh printers from 3rd party vendor Love response time and service but no ones perfect.
