CAD Imposition For Production Layouts?

Were using Preps 5.3
We are a very large company that has an extensive Master Layout Library.
The bottle neck is that presently they are FIRST created in some PC Vizio app (Im strictly MAC)
and all they really need is the layouts with the measurements, so they can be created in Preps and signed off on by various departments... im thinking Preps pdf to pdf and putting the measurements in with CAD TOOLS the Illustrator plug in.. Really looking for better suggestions that would streamline this worflow..

I tried to use AI together with Packmage packaging design software to do the imposition work, so far so good.
