Cheque Security Printing On an Offset Press

Can anyone assist with a solution for using a CD 74 -5 MACHINE to do rainbow printing( this represents security printing which results in a varied background for each cheque due to the ink flow and colour combination ensuring cheques cannot be copied or produced by unauthorised persons).

Understand in years gone by a GTO 52 V ink ducts were modified with the use of a soft wood with varied cuts etc. We need to produce cheques in larger volumes hence the SM 74 sheet size.Heidelberg have confirmed they do not produce an ink duct modification kit for the press.

Please contact me on [email protected] Thanks

You might want to try reaching out to Pantone in New Jersey. Some of their offset presses have been modified with split fountains in order to efficiently print the PMS books. Don't know if they will be forthcoming with information, but it couldn't hurt to reach out and try.
