Continual Problems with Konica C8000

When you say that the machine isn't holding its color, do you calibrate everday with an ES-1000? do you have a controlled environment?
Do you have a good known standard file to compare to?
Are you using CDC?
The fuser codes that you mentioned would require the technician to check the level and tightness of the adu rails, and the fuser plugs that connect it to the machine.
 
when you come in this morning, go into the adjust settings, perform a auto gamma and auto color reg, print out your standards file, and if it is different than the one from yesterday you calibrate. Make sure that you calibrate for uncoated, gloss, line 1 and dot 1. Compare the target to the measured curves. If the measured curves are way below the target curves, saggy etc your machine may need servicing. If the curves look good apply the calibration. Then print out your standards file. Note the temperature and humidity from your measuring device along with the date and time. When you print out Calibration charts print several so you get an average. Before every color critical job print your standards file and check against the last calibration, if you see change, redo the process. BTW I have seen plenty of accounts who think they have a stable environment discover daily swings in temp and humidity after actually measuring. Checking the curves you can also see if you engine is performing correctly. You didn't say they had checked the rails...
 
Have your tech do what they call there G7 calibration it will take about 1-2 hrs. It will help with the color shift.
 
Good luck, we have been having the same issues with a C-7000. We have been going on two years with it. Our solution is to last it out so we can get a different brand of copier. K-M has been no help either.

I can print a proof at 5pm before I head out, come in at 8am with no one touching the machine and the same file, same settings will be dramatically different. Believe it or n ot you can get your service rep to have the machine auto calibrate every 200 sheets out of what ever drawer you are printing. for example you might be running 100# gloss book our of tray 4 and every 200 sheets it will spit out 3 - 5 calibration sheets on the same paper. we started doing this on one our 8000 and no more color issues. Konica does have a tray issue that does not allow you to tighten the paper enough. thus it does shift a bit . our service rep had to spend quite a bit of time aligning the system but once he got it right it works much better. We have two KM 8000 one is a bit better machine but both do ok. you need to complain to your Konica sales person more. did you buy this was Konica or another supplier?
 
This may seem obvious but the techs didn't happen to disable the auto adjustments in the service menu? Because that helps with color stabilization.

We had the auto adjustments disabled on our new 6501's a few years back because we got tired of the constant "Adjusting...please wait" during longer runs and thought it would speed things up. Ended up enabling it a few months later due to color issues and made sure it was enabled with our new 6000's & 7000 machines.
