need help. i encounter bursting/cracking every now and then. process is printing. primer, uv, corrugated lamination, diecutting and gluing. (cc plus e-flute). what are things i need to consider to reduce or eliminate this rejection?

thanks

If I right understood, you got the cracking on the printing ink layer and coating layer. So you need to reduce to the IR dryer as low as possible to minimize the heat inside ink layer.

The other reason is too thick ink film. You can ask prepress or designer to reduce to ink film thickness; you can see it much better.

thank you for the input. just wondering why i print same item every month and there are batches that are okay and some are not. thanks

Story now is clearer. In my opinion, I think you should make the list of things which can have influnce to your each batch:
- Vicosity of UV coating
- Ink coverage
- Type of UV ink
- Speed of printing and coating machine
- Power of UV curing system
- Power of IR drying system (If usage)
- etc.

When you got different cracking between batches, you can compare and find out which might be the cause.
I can not tell you exactly what the reason is; but that is the way I do for troubleshooting.
Hope that helps! :))

Cheers!
