Creo Konica Minolta question.

does anyone that runs Creo software with Konica Minolta know how to offset the job in like 25's or 50's when its a 1000 page pdf?

in Fiery you would do it under the VDP section but i don't see it available on the Creo.

I haven't used a Creo in a long time, but I just looked it up in the manual (on page 252) it is located under the "Services Tab" in the Job Services window. Then find the "Split to Sets" option (shown on page 255). This manual is for the C6085/C6100. It might be different if you're using an older model.

that's what i thought it was but i don't think i am using the function correctly.

Maybe there's a different way to approach the project. Are these for notepads of 25 or 50 sheets that have unique names per pad?

they range from 500-3000 page PDF's every page is unique and cannot be altered in any way. every month i do about 50 PDF files that come out to about 40k 11x17 pages that have to be offset in 25's or 50's for stapling.

here's what found with ai;
The document does not explicitly mention a "creeping" function for the KODAK CREO IC-316 Print Controller. However, it does reference features like "Enhanced Imposition Template Builder" and "Folded Signatures" within the optional Action Pack, which may support imposition adjustments, including creep settings for booklet printing.

The "Split to Sets" function will take a large page count file, and ask the Creo to treat it as individual jobs each with the amount of pages you specify in the Split to Sets setting. So for example, you turn Split to Sets on and set it to 25 pages, it will take your 1000 page file and then allow you to apply imposition or stapling to each 25 page set.

Depending on which Creo you have, when you then set Offset to 1, it may then offset each set.

If this is for stapling, Split to Sets will defineatly work to allow you to staple each 25 page set.

If neither of the above work, you could ask it to place an insert after each 25 sheets using coloured paper, and that will let you easily separate the sets.

Neither Creep (which the Creo does have) nor imposition have anything to do with what the original question was trying to achieve. AI needs to work harder!
