It works.

Darker patches dryback more than lighter patches and Curve has no idea. If your correction curves are steep then you may have to iterate for the darker tones. (TVI reference curves are nice because TVI doesn't really change during dryback.) I prefer to make or update NPDC curves from curved data, if I am already in the ballpark, rather than start from the top with raw or linear plates.

If you can run P2Ps on production jobs and average a bunch of pull sheets you'll have more success than with dedicated calibration runs - maybe not for making golden masters but definitely for production use. It can be hit or miss if your calibration run happens at a moment when the press is printing as averagely as possible.
