Decreasing weight in the pocket to feed more forms?

I figured this was a common issue but I've had no luck finding solutions. One of our stitchers is a top feeding Muller Bravo. Though the pocket guides are 12-14" tall, we can often only stack up to 6" depending on the paper weight. I'm looking for a way to extend the height of the guides and add some down angled fins or brushes that may alleviate some of the weight to prevent scuffing or misfeeds. Greatly appreciate any insight, best.
