Docucolor 240 page bends????

Hi im using a docucolor 240 sieries.

Im having a issue, that when i print pages, the pages come out quite, bended, some times they even make a round, of them selves,

If i print a thicker paper liek 280 gsm, then the corners of the pages bend up,
it is hard to cut souch paper if it is like a round.

are there any settings, to solve this?

Because i looked on youtube videos, there many print the pages and the prints come out, compleatly sraight.

Waiting replay matt.

1. This usually happens if you use, low quality paper or offset paper - we'll most offset paper stock is not good choice for reproduction of hq images.
2. you should use correct printing settings (heavyweight1, coated etc), because if you run for example 80gsm paper as heavyweight2 then you receive a similar result as you've described
3. replace the fuser unit with a brand new one.

THank you! :)

You mean of a bad fuser it can also cause this problem?

I use 280 gsm, carton paper for christmas cards, on 80 - 100 g plain paper it doesnt bend that much.

ill try to print on lower paper settings. Then see what will hapen.
Thanks again! :)

matt,

i have a 7655, very close inner working to the 240 machine and have some of the same problems. i live in mexico so only paper that i can get my hands on is cut from large sheets of paper used mainly for offset. now i have and still have alot of the same results you are experiencing with curling on thicker stock. most of my business is 250-300 gram stocks ~500 tabloide's daily. i have found if you can use the x-heavyweight reloaded it opens up the fuser roller a bit more to not allow the culing as much. also another factor is the humidity in the paper and your shop. the fuser unit could be worn or how you store your paper and if it has a natural curl to begin with. all this is very simple to resolve, but hopefully some of this helps out. i have just learned to live with the curl, and so have most of my clients. i have found that it returns to its natural state after a bit of time.

Didnt quite understand what is X - Heavyweight?

+ I found also that not using the Gloss level, the curling is quit less.
Ill try some more things.
