I would like if there is some advanced way of creating printed embossed business cards. While we outscore it and the guy do it manually , it goes very expensive. Is there any modern way how to create it ?
A recent thread on PrintPlanet was about thermography. This can achieve a printed-embossed look. But whether it is cheaper or you consider it 'advanced' enough... I don't know.
The most expensive part of the embossing process is having an embossing block (both sides male and female) made.
You might ask your printer if he has the blocks made in brass or magnesium. Magnesium is much cheaper.
