Epson 9600 for vinyl banners???

I used to run into similar problems when I first tried wide format printing on vinyl with older Epson printers. The ink wouldn’t hold up outdoors, and getting colors right was a big headache, especially when using non-Epson media or switching between different surface coatings. For me, paying extra for special media and laminants didn’t really make sense, especially once I factored in time and all the extra steps.

Honestly, for most of my event and outdoor banners now, I just order them online and save the hassle. I usually go for services that do next-day printing and have solid materials, especially if I’m in a rush. It's worth mentioning that not everyone has the same criteria when selling banners. I work for an in-plant, and am limited in space and ventilation - so we print our banners on aqueous. Sure it's not as good as latex or solvent - but it works for my customers and with the space and budget I have. Never once have gotten a complaint from our aqueous printed banners (TX-4200 on SiHL 3690 or 3604). They've been used in all the ways too - permanent, temporary, outdoor, indoor, etc. Only concern we've been informed of is one of our clients reused the banner for three years and wanted to order a new one because it had gotten beaten up in storage and looked crummy as a result.
