Epson 9890 Cartridge Error

Hi there, I am using 9890 OEM cartridges. The printer was working fine after head replacement, turned on printer this morning to find it was not reconising cartridge, so i replaced with new OEM cartridge. Same Error. Any Ideas? Regards Stu

I have had mine do that, but it turned out to be a faulty cartridge. On the other hand I have heard of people having this problem and it turned out to be the sensor in the printer failing to recognize the chip on the cartridge. Do you have a service contract on the machine?
