File naming Pdf (for Prinergy)

Somebody know limitations for this workflow?
For example - not more than 30 characters, only english letters?

Technical bulleten would be greatful.

P.S. One important customer asked - if he can name pdf file in Cyrillic and 256 characters
"Because we dont use MS-DOS and all operation system must support this file name"

depends on server operating system and how you are accessing them
ours is on windows 2000 server, limitations within PC (SMB networking) environment are pretty long, haven't tried to be sure
BUT, when transferring files from MAC (via AFP protocol) length of file name is limited to 31 characters

when file names are longer on SMB then AFP will show truncated names

cyrillic characters are not recommended, i have seen prinergy have issues with special characters in file name

I already found this limitation (31 letters) in Technical bulleten from Kodak.

Operation system also have limitation (File Names Seem to Be Limited to Less Than 255 Characters)
