Fujifilm North America will be increasing their offset printing plate prices by 8%. The precise amount of the increase is dependent on local market situations. The increase is effective 12/1/2017.

Raw material cost increases—predominately the cost of raw aluminum—shifting labor costs & manufacturing costs were cited. The company noted its 12-month cost containment program and efficiencies in manufacturing have been offset by decreasing volumes, due to market changes.

Scrap plates are also expensive so the end customer does not lose
The film produces agfa and they can do what they want with the price, now it is more expensive than the plates 6,8euro/sqm,
The solution is Kodak procesless DITR , that you can do in the CtP trendsetter. But they cost as much as x2
