Graphic Production Fall internship, Boston

I work for a Boston-based children’s book publisher, and I am currently looking for candidates for our Fall internship program.

The Graphic Production intern will assist with:
• file preparation for book jackets/cover/interiors
• color correction
• image retouching
• reviewing color proofs
• template creation
• typesetting (flowing text and making copy-edits)
• basic layout and design
• handling reprints and various reuse projects
• generating barcodes

Great exposure for an undergrad student, or a recent college grad, looking for real-time experience. This is an unpaid internship.

I can provide all the specifics to anyone interested, please send me a PM.

It's funny, you are the 2nd person to comment on the unpaid line, and while I'm assuming your post had a hint of sarcasm to it, I wonder what people really think.

All the internships I ever did were unpaid. A paid internship, in my opinion, is odd - not the other way around.

Are the new batch of college kids looking for quick-money more than experience??
