Heidelberg CD Impression Cylinder Washer

I run a '92 102 CD and my console says It has back cylinder washers. Nobody in the pressroom has ever used them. I found the pump for them under the catwalk on the O.S. Where are the actual washers located on the press? I was planning on priming the pump with some 50/50 wash and water. any thoughts? Is it basically another blanket washer somewhere on the press? Same parts as a blanket washer?

Have you thought about looking at the operators manual and parts book?

92 was not a good year for Heidi back cylinder washers, your efforts will likely be fruitless. They are practically inaccessible, under the cylinder, you have to crawl inside to see them. Once they failed , to expensive to fix. Good luck!

Given the discouraging post by junker1984 2/11/2013 7:29 AM, you should make a special effort call to Heidelberg service to get more information. Don"t just talk to the first service tech that takes the call, but try to get someone that is fully aware of the specifics of the '92 102 CD machines.
