Our Heidelberg InPress Sheetfed Control stopped working all of a sudden on our CX. The computer box is version 00.783.1279/02 - MP2-IC-KO-02. Got an amber light on LED 2 which then blinks red 5 times shortly. Fans run, but not continous, they go in and out. No display on external connected monitor, main press does not see the system. Tried swapping drives (HD 1 vs HD 2), and memory sticks and changed out the CMOS battery (had lower voltage). Not sure if memory is bad as it might need both sticks to work? Might change that out.
Did try another used InPress computer box CP.150.433N/03 - MC4 kmpl (without drives) which we got hold of. With our drives inserted but that didn not work. With our software it only boots up partially on that. Hardware might be too new/different from our install. Don't see drive errors on the monitor while booting.
We can still run our CX press, just with manual color control. A replacement InPress Sheetfed Control computer through Heidelberg is maybe our only answer?
