Help needed - Lost Fiery API license after installing Color Profile Suite

We have a Xerox 1000i with a Fiery server. I purchased it used and have been repairing and maintaining the machine in-house successfully for a while now. We were having print color accuracy issues so we upgraded our old ES-1000 to an ES-3000. the ES-3000 we purchased was a brand new unused "kit" which included a license for Color Profile Suite. We verified with Fiery that installing CPS would work and be ok but that we'd still need an SMSA license if we wanted ongoing support on it. This was fine since we were never getting support anyways.

We installed it and the ES-3000 made a huge improvement on our print quality. However, I tried to use FreeForm Create to setup a VDP job and it wouldn't work. After investigating, we found our Fiery API license was missing. We don't use FreeForm Create very often but the last time we used it many months ago, it worked fine. Since then, it appears there was an update to CWS (Now running 6.5.0.563) and the Fiery API updated from 5.2.27.01 to 5.2.64.00. I'm not sure if it was the CWS update, Fiery API update, or installing Color Profile Suite, but somehow our Fiery API license is now missing and preventing FreeForm Create from sending the print jobs to CWS (Only the template appears, not the VDP file).

Does anyone have any idea how our Fiery API license could have just disappeared and how we might be able to get FreeForm Create working again?

I'm guessing you will need to put in a support ticket with EFI, but good luck if you don't have a support. I wonder if it had more to do with updating Command Workstation than Color Profiler. You may be better off getting VDP software and not relying on Fiery for it.

How complex or large is the run?
You don't need Freeform to do VDP jobs with CWS. Just create and use the master once the jobs are in the hold tab

Seemed complex to me. It had 40 merged variables per page including QR code generation and various font sizes and styles. I gave up FreeForm Creation and just redid the job in InDesign. It was actually easier to use than FFC and flawlessly outputted a print-ready PDF.

I had a new Canon fiery install...kept losing the impose/compose license after 30 days then losing license in 2 or 3 days. License would just disappear. Amazing, Canon and fiery remotely registered license. I also, reload the Fiery OS and CWS. 4 decades in the business and I think this issue was with Fiery.
EFI parent company of Fiery was bought by an equity firm. The equity firm sold the fiery division to Epson. The fiery of today is not the same fiery 10 years ago. They now require licenses for options that use to be standard on command workstation.

You can visit Welcome - Fiery Developer Portal, if you register on the developer portal they will give you a time limit license immediately, and after a mail request a permanent one. completely free. I have one for production accounting.
