I have a mechanical question on how the ductor roller is oscillated. I hope someone can confirm the mechanical action.
On some presses, the ductor is moved with a spring towards the ink fountain roller and a cam moves it back to contact the roller train. A Komori press had this configuration.
I was told that on the SM 52, there was some kind of mechanical actuation of the ductor towards the ink fountain roller and maybe a spring return but the explanation was not too detailed.
Besides the mechanical action, I hope also someone can describe how the electrical signal is used to engage and disengage the ductor action.
Thanks for any comments.
