OK, so my new rip is almost up and running. I will be creating 1.7 pdfs and dropping into the rip. Coming back out as 1.7 unflattened APPE. (Hope I am using the right terms here).
So, now, what to do.
If I open the unflattened PDF in A8 Professional, it goes ps on me on the way out the door. Flattens by definition.
I own EFI XF 3.0. However, I am now being told that their solution to printing native APPE pdfs is March, 2009.
So, I went looking for A9 Professional as I have heard that there is a way to "print" without "printing" and going to ps.
Any ideas?
