HP Indigo and Intelligent Barcode

Looking to start doing some Intelligent Barcode mailing off our HP Indigo 5500. We are writing the JLTs using Yours Truly in Quark 7. Download the font from USPS and am able to use it in quark no problem. However the Indigo will not load the font. It refuses to recognize it. Have tried calling HP and post office and got nowhere. Thanks.

We ended up getting it resolved. For whatever reason the barcode font would not load on HP Indigo. Hp logged in and was able to transfer their already converted font into our machine. Works great now. Thanks for checking.

Hi Joe2950,

Could you make a copy of the already made font from your press and give us a copy, we are having problems with our intelligent barcode font. If possible our e-mail address is [email protected]. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

This is the biggest problem i found with JLYT format... it can't package the font and the font needs to be installed on the indigo rip... (which is finicy at the best of times)...

If you are using the indigo 5000 or 7000 rip (the adobe rip version) you should be able to send it PPML which does send the fonts across with the package...

I don't know why JLYT doesn't include fonts... most of the time we ended up just sending PDF to the indigo 3050 because of this issue...
