These units are invaluable when cleaning the BIDs on an HP Indigo. Simply slide your BID into the unit, attach the hoses, and the washer runs the BID through a pre-programmed cleaning cycle.
Clean the BID assembly when replacing ink in an ink tank, or performing the IMS (Ink Mixing System) procedure, which is required for adding a new or special color to the press. Also, the press operator manual calls for weekly cleaning of the BID units.
The BID Washer uses imaging oil for cleaning. The imaging oil system in the BID Washer is a semi-closed system. Imaging Oil is streamed from the Imaging Oil tank to the cleaning sink, to the tank wash station or to the BID Unit and then returns to the Imaging Oil tank. Two filters, located at the Imaging Oil tank outlet, filter out the Imaging Oil impurities.
