We have an HP Indigo 7900 press. It's about 5 years old. We have been on a maintenance plan since the press was new. One press operator is Level 1 trained and the other is Level 2 trained. We are having a lot of random issues lately. Our HP service manager has suggested that we consider taking advantage of their Indigo Press Performance Tuning Service where a technician will "thoroughly inspect, adjust, clean, and replace specific components that are critical to keeping the press running." The press would be down about a day and a half. The cost is $3,400 for a single visit or $10,200 for a year of quarterly visits.
Have any of you had this done? Did it help any? Is it worth the money? Your opinions please ...
